The Wilhelm Scream
I'd be the first to profess that I'm horrendously unobservant, so it comes as no surprise to me that something called "The Wilhelm Scream" has, since the dawn of "Talkies", been appearing on television and film for years.
It only dawned on me how often I've heard it once this video showed me the various (manymanymanymanymany!) times it's been used.
